The Peace to You Foundation of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, the Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Kyiv Eparchy of the UOC have formed and delivered a new humanitarian cargo to de-occupied Kherson.

It included seven power generators and warm blankets for the heating stations set up at UOC churches in Kherson, as well as food, hygiene products, clothing and other aid to local residents.

Three power generators and 500 kg of canned meat were donated by the Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

"The all-Ukrainian charitable mission of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues. We have already visited the Sviatohirsk Lavra 6 times, and now we have come to support Kherson," said Archpriest Andriy Dvorovoy, head of the Department of Social Service and Charity of the Kyiv Eparchy of the UOC.

"Kherson really needs our help, the humanitarian situation there is extremely difficult. There is constant shelling, no electricity. There are many abandoned pets. People are in dire need of warm clothes, hygiene products, household chemicals and building materials. There are many children in the city, including infants, who need baby food and diapers. Pharmacies are almost out of operation, there is an urgent need for medicines," said the staff of the Social Department of the Kyiv Eparchy of the UOC of Ukraine about the scale of the humanitarian disaster in Kherson.

The Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos Foundation continues to cooperate with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to provide social and humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian citizens affected by the full-scale military operations.

The total amount allocated for humanitarian projects since February 24 has already reached almost one billion hryvnias.
