Without losing focus on the needs of our native Ukraine, which is fighting for its freedom in a brutal war, on behalf of the founder of the Foundation, the team of the Charitable Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos ordered the production and delivered 19 modular houses for Turkish citizens affected by the earthquake to the province of Hatay for a total of UAH 3,657,000.

“The earthquake is very similar to a war in its terrible consequences - among these ruins there are many ruined lives and lost lives,” says Tatyana Kirichenko, deputy director of the Foundation in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, impressed by what she saw on the streets of Turkish cities.

“Despite all the pain and suffering we have experienced over the past year, we Ukrainians still have the courage and desire to help others. We understand other people's pain very well and are always ready to help those in need in any way we can,” she adds.

Each housing module has a kitchen, two rooms and a bathroom. Two small or one large family can live in such a house. The local authorities will connect these temporary housing units to all city utilities.

The main partner of the project from Turkey is Mustafa Kemal Kahya, Chairman of the Disciplinary Board of the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Mustafa Kemal was very helpful in its implementation.
As a reminder, on February 6, a powerful earthquake in Turkey and Syria killed more than 50,000 people and injured many more.

The epicenter of the first earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 was the Turkish province of Gaziantep. The second tremor, with a magnitude of 7.5, occurred shortly afterward in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaras. This terrible earthquake was recognized as the most powerful in Turkey since 1939.

As a result, about 25 thousand houses in 10 affected provinces of Turkey were destroyed or severely damaged.

Millions of residents of the destroyed areas are homeless and in need of urgent assistance.
