About the project

Archangel Michael International Charitable Foundation and the international organization Cossacks of Zaporizhzhia jointly implement a long-term project Orthodox Sports Association (OSA). Its purpose is physical education of young people, development of combat sports in Ukraine and improvement of inter-territorial ties. The project activity includes sports training of children from socially vulnerable orthodox families. OSA delivers training in such sports as boxing, wrestling, judo, hand-to-hand fighting and other similar sports groups.

The operation cost of such a sports group per one month will be UAH 83,000.0:
  • expenses for the operation of the group: manager-organizer, administrator, accountant – UAH 28,000.
  • expenses for trainers – UAH 45,000.
The expense part for each trainer also includes the costs of renting a gym and payment for utility services.

Since the organization is a non-profit one, it is very difficult to maintain the project relying only on its own resources. For that reason, through joint efforts, we organize competitions for children, and support their interest in sports.
